Eastern criteria of the natural and traditional medicine
The philosophy of the MTC fundamentally is based on 3 criteria or fundamental theories:
a) The Tao
b) The Yin and Yang
c) The five movements or elements

The Tao: the philosophy of the Tao is I accumulate of the thought of the man during many years.

It raises that in a phenomenon 2 categories that are opposed, antagonistic, but to each other complementary exist, and that everything in the nature can be classified in these denominated categories Yin and Yang, which the theory Yin and Yang is come off.

The Yin and the Yang: all we amply know the symbol the Yin-Yang that is in the totality of the originating elements of East.

Yin and Yang are the denominations that occur to the 2 fundamental principles or universal forces them, always opposed although complementing itself mutually.

In general terms, functional and hyperactive everything what it is in movement, the outside, ascent and that is hot, sure belongs to the Yang, whereas active everything what is in rest, the interior, reduction, and that is cold, dark, disfuncional, hipo belongs to the Yin.

They are not absolute but relative. This relativity is reflected in conditions into which the Yin and the Yang can transform each one in their opposite: Yin or Yang Veamos in the following picture which are the functions Yin and Yang:

The theory Yin Yang has some principles to consider:

Principle of Opposition - Restriction

On this base the old ones divided to the objects and complex phenomena in Yin and Yang

Principle of Unit or Interdependence

The Yin and the Yang have opposite qualities to each other, but both maintain unit and are interdependent. The external Yang of the body defends the organism of the aggression of the pathogenic agents, whereas the internal Yin transports the nutritious values to all the organs. But so that each one acts its as are needed mutually, they do not exist nor they grow

Principle of Intertransformación

The Yin and the Yang are not static but that stay in constant movement of transformation happening of Yin and Yang and vice versa, constant growth and decrease, like the changes of the day to the night

In the physiology the Likeable one (Yang) excites the organs (Yin) and inhibits the vísceras (Yang), whereas the Parasimpático (Yin) inhibits the organs (Yin) and excites the visceras (Yang).
