Doctor Usui was born in the first year of the period keío, call Keio Gunnen, the 15 of August (1865). Its first name was Míkao and its other name pronounces Gyoho (or kyoho).(One old Japanese custom was that the teacher gave a new name to his student in order to break the continuity with the past and beginning again. Sometimes, the own student adopted a new name). He was born in the village of Yago in the Yamagata district of the Gifu prefecture. The name of its ancestros is Tsunetane Chiba. The name of its father was Uzaemon. The name of the family of its mother was kawaaí. Of which it is known, she was a talented and empeñoso student. Of adult, it traveled to study in several western countries and Chinese, it worked arduously but to certain height one ran into with the bad luck. Nevertheless, one did not surrender and one became qualified with vehemence.
A day went to the mount kurama to make a retirement of 21 days, to ayunar and to meditate. The wife of doctor Usui was called Sadako, her name as a single person was Suzuki. They had a son and a daughter. The son, Fuji Usui, position became of the businesses of the family after the death of doctor Usui.
Doctor Usui was a very warm, simple and humble person. He was physically healthful and well proportionate, Never he boasted and always he had a smile in the face; also he had enormous anger as opposed to the adversity. At the same time, she was a very cautious person. He had many talents. It liked to read, and its knowledge of medicine, psychology, divination and theology of the religions of the world was very vast. Its habit of all the life to study and to collect data by the way helped to open it to way in the perception and Reiki understanding. (I believe that this talks about to its experience in the mount kurama.) Reiki not only healthy diseases, but that also amplifies innate capacities, balances the spirit, it makes the body healthful, and thus aid to obtain the happiness. In order to teach this to the others, you must follow the five principles of Meiji Emperor and contemplate them in your heart.
They must be expressed daily, once to the morning, and again at dusk.
1) Today you do not get angry.
2) Today you do not worry.
3) Today I am been thankful.
4) Today works hard (meditation practices).
5) Today I know kind with the others.
The supreme goal is to include/understand the old secret method to reach the happiness (Reiki) and of such way to discover one cures multipropósíto for many evils. If you follow these principles you will obtain the great calm mind of the old wise people. In order to begin to scatter the Reiki system, it is important to begin from a place near you (your same one), you do not begin from something distant like the logical philosophy.
Sit quiet and in silence each morning and each dusk with your hands folded in "Ghaso" or "Namaste". It follows the great principles, and I know clean and calm. It works on your heart and you do things from your barren near space. Anyone can accesses to Reiki, because it begins within one!
The philosophical paradigms are changing the entire world. If Reiki could be scattered by the world it would touch to the human heart and the moral of the society. It would be an aid for much people, and it would not only heal the disease, but also to the Earth like a whole. More than 2,000 people they learned Reiki with doctor Usui. Many plus learned it of their main disciples, and took Reiki much more there. Inclusively now, after the decease of doctor Usui, Reiki will expand far and widely during the coming times. It is a universal blessing to have received Reiki of doctor Usui and being able to pass it to others. Many of the students of doctor Usui converged to construct this memorial here in the Saihojí temple in the district of Toyotama.

My Reiki Adventure...............

It did not interest to teach Reiki to me and speaking honestly it wanted to maintain to me remotest possible of the called movement of the "New Era". As soon as I initiated my wife and I savored the taste for the first time to teach Reiki. I realized that loved the initiations in himself, that put to the teacher and the student in a wonderful state of unicity.
Then, she initiated to her mother in the first level and had a experience similar to which I had had when I initiated her, then we decided to share the levels the third and Masters with all the interested ones.
The answer to ours first announcements in the magazines was by the way sweeping. Reiki One and Two had been taught by several teachers, during many years, but it was the first time that offered factories of Reiki Three and the level of Masters to everybody. Much people who had been initiated in levels One and Two came to us (and they continue coming).
Before beginning to teach the level of Masters, we decided to give to the masterful futures Reiki all the knowledge necessary to make specific initiations by themselves, in order to spread Reiki more quickly. So far, many of our students and their students are teaching Reiki, expands like the fire. I would like to be thankful to him to all those that shared their life with us in the past. I will try to share and to share Reiki while that is necessary.
